Islam, Rationality, and Revelation
Followed by a Khatm of Sharḥ al-ʿAqāʾid al-Nasafiyyah
An event exploring how Muslims can navigate modern issues through the harmonious use of both divine guidance and sound reason.
Drawing upon the rich legacy of Sunni theology, the event will reflect on how the Islamic intellectual tradition has long upheld the role of reason within the framework of revelation, enabling believers to engage the modern world without compromising faith. It will also mark the completion of the study of Sharḥ al-ʿAqāʾid al-Nasafiyyah, one of the most celebrated texts in Sunni theology.
Sharḥ al-ʿAqāʾid al-Nasafiyyah is one of the most celebrated and widely received texts in Sunni theology.
Revered by Muslim theologians across the world, it has attracted over eighty glosses and has been taught across the Mughal, Ottoman, and Azhari traditions of Islamic learning.
Join us for an evening of reflection, learning, and celebration with Shaykh Shams Tameez, as we consider how Islam equips us to face the questions of our time with both conviction and insight.
