Build a Marriage and Family That Lasts
An 8–10 week course on the fiqh of marriage and family life: the rights, responsibilities, procedures and rulings every Muslim should know before, during and after the nikkah.
Marriage is one of the greatest decisions a Muslim will make. This course gives you the knowledge to step into it with confidence, navigate it with wisdom, and protect what you build.
What is fiqh?
Fiqh is the Islamic science of practical rulings. It answers the question: how do I actually do this correctly? It covers what is required, what is recommended, what is permitted, and what is not.
What the Course Covers
- Fiqh of Nikāh — compatibility, mahr (dowry), nursing a child
- Fiqh of Ṭalāq — the different types of divorce and the rulings around the words used
- Khulʿ — divorce initiated by the wife
- ʿIddah — the waiting period after divorce and after the passing of a husband
- Custody of Children — the rulings of ḥaḍānah
- Maintenance — financial responsibilities during and after marriage
